Who is Pat?

Who is Pat?

My name is Pat Flickner. I am an Army veteran, business leader, wife, mother, and grandmother. I am not someone who has been elected to a political office, but I am not willing to sit idly by while our local politics spin out of control. Between the statewide funding ban on ethnic studies, attempts to censor speech on the Internet, and the embarrassment of the disbarment of the county attorneys, it is impossible for me to sit idle and not take a stand for what I believe in.

I believe in strong public education with the funding to support it. I believe in tough but fair immigration policy. I believe in a strong local economy with a focus on local, sustainable growth. I believe in an environmentally clean policy to leave a better earth for our children and grandchildren. I believe in a strong and fair Arizona that is the envy of every state in the country. And most of all, I believe in the importance of representing the people of District 15 in the Arizona State Legislature.

Now is the time to take action. Now is the time for those who are fed up with the policies of the past to stand up and restore sanity for tomorrow. Arizona is ready for a change. We elected Greg Stanton, an honest man with a great legislative record, as mayor of Phoenix last year. We recalled Russell Pearce, the man behind legislation such as the infamous SB 1070, last year. Now is the time for you to stand up and not be afraid to share your ideas with friends and neighbors.

I cannot make this journey alone, however. In order to represent you and your ideas in the State Legislature, we need a little bit of your time. We have volunteer opportunities available all of the time, and we need every bit of support that can be brought. This is not just for me or you. Its for the collective us. Please volunteer today and help us pave a better future for Arizona together.

Hi Pat! So glad you came to my gate on Sunday! You are my candidate! I need your help to know where the new district boundaries are so that I can know which of my friends will be able to vote for you. Also, when I googled your name, several links were not functioning. One said that you will be speaking at Boulder Creek but couldn’t see when. I look forward to hearing from you.

My pleasure. And I haven’t forgotten about you and Ed. I need to fix this site – a couple of PHP problems and had to finish some things here. Thank you so much. I just posted the links for the petition and $5 qualifying forms (at the bottom) and I will have the link to the e-signature page up in just a minute – that one you can send out to all your Democratic and Independent friends. But here you go: https://www.azsos.gov/apps/eps/petition/VoterPetnAuth.aspx. When you enter your information, it goes right to the “correct” link for you. The $5 e-signature one is just about done. When it is, you can go to https://www.azsos.gov/apps/eps/qc/CCECVoterAuth.aspx.

So wonderful to meet you. I really look forward to seeing you again!
